Shiatsu

Traditional Japanese and Chinese medicine considers disease, or symoptoms of disease, to indicate that the flow of our body's energy (Qi or Ki) has become stuck or restricted.

By applying pressure or stretches to meridians (Body pathways),Shiatsu encourages Ki to flow smoothly through the body.

Areas where tension collects, perhaps as a result of stress, overuse, or truama, are sites where this flow has become blocked.

The use of Shiatsu, often combined with other exercise or lifestyle changes, encourages the flow of Ki into depleted areas where the body feels weak, depleted or empty.
