With the change in the laws governing the sale of herbal medicines it is becoming difficult to source a wide range of pre-prepared herbal medicines.
This will be a day to learn how to prepare, preserve and use your own herbal remedies.
We will explore tincture making, pill making, capsules, pastes, poultices, salves, syrups, and many other herbal preparations. We will discuss when it is best to use a particular preparation and which herbs are best prepared in certain ways and why.
Participants will leave with samples of preparations and all herbs, equipment and materials are provided, there will also be an opportunity to purchase a wide range of herbs and products on the day.

April 14th 2012 "Herbal remedies from the garden and kitchen"
A day of practical remedy making, starting with medicinal oils we will progress to ointment making and exploring the simple first aid remedies that plants can provide. You will leave with the knowledge to put together a simple home remedy kit using simple and easily obtainable herbs.
